When did they stop the dual drumming? The Pete Best Bandwere here in the states in July and they were still working both of the Best Brothers on the drums. Anybody else have any info for Jan?

The Dual Drummer situation has always been there since the beginning and was so at the request of Mrs Best who wanted both of her sons to play together on the same stage.

We think that this gives the band a unique look as well as a more powerful sound and over the past few years we have noticed more bands adopting this look.

Hope this answers your question Jan.

All The Best

Chris

Roag Will Always Rock with Pete.

It's kind of like the relationship betweenMick & Keith, A duo that will always be known as a duo.

Jan....I have seen that article...Pete not only plays with The Pete Best Band but he does personal appearances, where he delves into the history of the Beatles and the time he spent with them from 1960-62. Pete has a lot of personal photos and other memorabilia that he shares with the audience. That particular appearance that you referenced was in Canada. As it was a personal appearance, the other members of The Pete Best Band wouldn't haven't accompanied him. They just brought out Canadian musicians to finish off the appearance, so it was probably not necessary for Roag to sit in with Pete. That's just my own thought process.

Sorry about your headaches...probably too much thinking about music! <img border="0" src= "smileys/smiley8.gif">
